Keiko 2025 / Update 2

Keiko’s puppies are here!

Not quite Bonfire Night babies, but they certainly arrived with a bang. Keiko delivered eight gorgeous chocolate puppies yesterday afternoon, all within just 3 hours and 17 minutes, with the final arrival just before 6pm.

Keiko was calm, focused, and handled everything like a complete natural. We couldn’t be more pleased with how smoothly she managed to deliver them all. Once the last pup was safely delivered, she tucked into a well-deserved bowl of scrambled eggs and sardines with a sprinkle of glucose, and is now resting contentedly while feeding her beautiful new brood.

We ended up with seven girls and just one boy. We expected a few more boys, but Mother Nature does like to keep us on our toes. The pups are all rich chocolate shades, with a couple so dark they look almost black!

We’ll be sharing more updates over the coming days and weeks. But for now, Keiko is doing brilliantly, and we’re enjoying the calm after a fast and smooth whelping!

Raven 2024 / Update 15

So we say goodbye to Miss Yellow 💛 (Rosie), Miss Lavender 💜 (Twiglet), Mr Blue 💙 (Dougal), Miss Purple 💜 (Penny), Miss Pink 🩷 (Millie) and Miss Orange 🧡 (Winnie). Today has been a very bittersweet day, but we know that they all have wonderful forever homes. We’re very sad to see them leave, they really have been a delight! ☺️

These pups have been such a pleasure to raise, we are very proud of them all. We can’t wait to see their updates and how they grow!

Raven 2024 / Update 14

The puppies had a busy day yesterday as they visited our wonderful vet Richard for their health checks and microchips! Everyone was very brave and not a peep out of them when being chipped. They enjoyed all the fuss from the veterinary team! A wonderful socialisation experience and desensitisation to vet visits too.

We have a very busy week as we approach the 7 week mark. We have temperament tests on Friday and then their final dose of their worming routine.

Raven 2024 / Update 13

6 weeks old today! Raven’s box of chocolates have well and truly taken over the house now! They have grown so fast and are absolutely thriving 😁 they absolutely love their food and are thoroughly enjoying their 4 meals a day as they are now fully weaned.

We continue their socialisation over the weekend and then they head off to the vets on Tuesday for their health checks and microchips, which we’re sure they’ll take in their stride!

Raven 2024 / Update 12

5 weeks old! Where has the time gone??

Here we have the pups playing with dad Jasper and big sister Keiko. They are thoroughly enjoying their playtime in the garden. The madness has now begun as they have taken over half of the house 😝

We welcome the remainder of our new owner visits this weekend, and also the pups have their 2nd round of wormer as they reach 5 weeks old.
