Your Sunstrider Puppy

Welcoming a Sunstrider Labradoodle into your home starts with a thoughtful and supportive process designed to ensure the best match for both you and your future puppy. On this page, you’ll find everything you need to know about joining our waiting list, what to expect during the pregnancy and early weeks, and how we work with you to prepare for your new arrival. We are committed to raising happy, healthy puppies and placing them with loving, well-prepared families.

The Journey to Bringing Your Puppy Home

Bringing a Sunstrider Labradoodle into your home is more than just buying a puppy. It is a carefully guided and supportive journey that begins the moment you get in touch. We take pride in building relationships with each of our prospective families, ensuring our puppies go to the very best homes.

If you are interested in a puppy from us, the first step is to complete our New Owner Questionnaire. This helps us understand your home, lifestyle, and what you are looking for in a companion. Once we receive your completed form, we will arrange a friendly phone call to chat through the details of the upcoming litter and answer any questions you may have. It is also a chance for us to get to know you and ensure we are the right fit for one another.

We do encourage families to stay open-minded about whether they have a boy or a girl, as it helps us focus on finding the best possible match for your home and lifestyle. Of course, if your heart is truly set on a particular sex, we will do our very best to accommodate that. Just bear in mind that nature decides the balance of each litter, and having some flexibility can help avoid disappointment.

Once both parties are happy to proceed, you will be added to our waiting list for the current or upcoming litter. From there, we will keep you updated throughout the process, letting you know when mating has taken place, confirming pregnancy, and sharing key milestones along the way.

When the puppies are born, you will begin to receive twice-weekly photo and video updates. We raise our litters in a dedicated puppy room within our home, and from day one, they are exposed to the sounds, smells, and rhythms of family life. The puppies are handled daily and gradually introduced to grooming and household noise to prepare them for their future environments.

We start allowing viewings when the puppies are around four to five weeks old. This gives you the opportunity to meet the litter in person, see how they are being raised, and of course, meet us too. It is important that you feel comfortable and confident in choosing us as your breeder, and equally that we feel confident in the homes our puppies are joining. If you are happy with us and we are happy with you, a £500 non-refundable holding fee will secure you a puppy from the litter. Throughout the following weeks, we will continue to share updates and guidance to help you prepare.

When it comes to the puppy selection process, we carry out structured temperament assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each puppy’s individual personality, confidence, and behavioural tendencies. This information plays a key role in helping us match each puppy to the most suitable home based on lifestyle, experience, and environment. We do not allow selection based solely on appearance, our focus is always on creating long-term, harmonious matches.

We feed our puppies a high-quality grain-free diet from Fish4Dogs, and you will receive a generous starter pack including food, toys, professional grooming tools, and a scented comforter from Mum. We also include a comprehensive new owner guidebook, birth certificate with weight chart, puppy contract, and a five-generation pedigree.

At seven weeks old, the puppies are vet checked and microchipped, and they continue to be wormed routinely. When the puppies reach eight weeks of age, they are ready to go to their new homes. The final balance is payable at this stage, and you will leave with a confident, well-prepared puppy and a full pack of resources.

But our support does not end there. When you take home a Sunstrider puppy, you also become part of our extended family. We invite all of our owners to join a private Facebook group where we offer lifetime advice, updates, and a wonderful community of fellow Sunstrider families.

If you are ready to take the next step, please complete our New Owner Questionnaire. We look forward to helping you begin your journey with a Sunstrider Labradoodle.
