Raven 2026 – Update 1

Raven is now Day 62 post-ovulation and resting comfortably as we await the arrival of her final litter.

She is calm, relaxed and spending time close to us, moving between her favourite resting spot and her whelping area. Her whelping box is fully prepared, and everything is in place for the safe arrival of her puppies.

She is bright, settled and taking everything in her stride. As always, we are monitoring her temperature and behaviour closely and are ready for the first signs of labour. We expect things to begin in the next day or so.

We will update again once the puppies have safely arrived.

Please keep Raven in your thoughts as she prepares to welcome her final litter into the world 💜

Keiko 2025 – Update 10

Keiko’s puppies have now headed off to their new homes. It is always a bittersweet moment. We spend weeks watching them grow from tiny newborns into confident, playful little characters, so saying goodbye is never easy.

Each puppy has left us happy, healthy, and well prepared for the next stage of their journey. They’ve been vet checked, microchipped, socialised, and introduced to a wide range of everyday sights and sounds to help them settle smoothly into family life.

One little lady, however, isn’t going very far. Miss Pink has remained here with us and is now officially called River. We are very excited to watch her grow and develop as part of the Sunstrider family.

We are incredibly grateful to the families who have chosen to welcome a Sunstrider puppy into their homes. Thank you for placing your trust in us. We know these pups are going to be loved, cherished, and very well cared for.

Keiko has been a fantastic mum once again, and she is now enjoying a well-earned rest and plenty of one-to-one attention.

We look forward to following each puppy’s journey as they grow, and we love receiving updates, so please do keep them coming.

Keiko 2025 – Update 9

Keiko’s puppies are now seven and a half weeks old and growing fast. They had their vet checks earlier this week and we’re pleased to report that everything went really well. The vets were very happy with how the puppies are developing and gave them all a clean bill of health.

They’ve also now been microchipped, which is one of the final steps before they head off to their new homes next week. As always, they took it all in their stride and bounced back quickly with a good nap and plenty of play afterwards.

We’ve also taken their 7-week portraits. It’s lovely to see how much they’ve changed in just a few short weeks, they’re really starting to look like proper little dogs now.

They’re spending most of their time outside during the day, with access to different areas and a variety of toys and surfaces to keep them busy and engaged. Energy levels are high, play is constant, and nap times are well-earned.

Keiko 2025 – Update 8

Keiko’s puppies are now six and a half weeks old and have been temperament tested today. They all did brilliantly and took it in their stride, showing confidence and curiosity in the new environment. Our behaviourist has spent time observing each puppy and will be putting together her written notes over the next couple of days.

Once those are complete, we’ll begin the matching process and announce selections shortly afterwards. We know many of you are eagerly waiting to find out which puppy will be joining your family, so thank you for your patience while we finalise everything carefully.

The pups are extremely active now and full of energy. They are spending most of the day running around, climbing over everything, and playing with each other. Toilet training is progressing well and they will actively seek out the garden to go! It is lovely to see how well they are interacting and how confidently they handle new experiences.

They’re also booked in for their vet checks on Tuesday, and we will share an update on how that goes too.

Everything is progressing well and we’re really pleased with how this litter is developing. More updates coming soon.

Keiko 2025 – Update 7

The puppies are now five and a half weeks old and full of energy. They spent the morning outside enjoying the fresh air and had a brilliant time exploring, playing, and chasing each other around the garden.

Their confidence has come on massively over the past week and they are now very comfortable being outside for longer periods. They are moving well, interacting more with their environment, and responding to all the daily handling and desensitisation that’s continued behind the scenes.

Weaning is progressing steadily and they are now on completely dry kibble. They’re eating well, growing fast, and sleeping soundly afterwards.

Keiko is still checking in with them, but is gradually taking more time to herself now, which is exactly what we want to see at this stage.

We will share more updates soon as we approach six weeks.

Keiko 2025 – Update 6

Keiko’s puppies are now 4 weeks old and today they had their very first little adventure outside in the puppy garden. The weather was just dry enough for a short visit and they did incredibly well with the new sights, sounds, and smells.

At this age we only do brief, closely supervised outdoor sessions, but even a few minutes in a new environment can offer valuable stimulation. Everyone had a good explore, a bit of a romp about, and then a well-earned nap once back inside.

They’re getting more confident and coordinated by the day, and it’s lovely to see their little personalities starting to emerge. Keiko remains a brilliant mum and is still feeding regularly, although weaning is progressing steadily alongside her with them having 3 soaked kibble meals a day.

We’ll be continuing to build on this early exposure in the coming weeks with regular garden visits and plenty of enrichment indoors too.
