Raven 2026 – Update 4

The puppies are now 3 weeks old and have come on so much over the past week. They are now up on their feet, wandering around the box, playing with each other and starting to explore the toys we’ve introduced.

We’ve now extended their space to give them a bit more room, and they have a separate pee pad area which they are already beginning to use.

Weaning has also begun this week. They’ve started on whitefish mince to get them going, and over the next few days we’ll begin gradually introducing mashed kibble as they continue to develop.

They’re becoming more interactive and confident each day, and it’s a lovely stage to watch as their little personalities really start to show.

Raven 2026 – Update 3

Raven’s puppies are now 10 days old and have grown so much already. They’ve been feeding brilliantly and are becoming very chunky little pups, which is always lovely to see at this stage.

Raven continues to be a fantastic mum and is taking wonderful care of them. Most of their time is still spent feeding and sleeping, but they are getting stronger every day and developing quickly.

It’s amazing how much they change in just a short space of time, and we’re really enjoying watching their little personalities begin to emerge.

Here’s a little video of them enjoying one of their feeds with Raven.

Raven 2026 – Update 2

We are delighted to announce that Raven welcomed her puppies into the world on Sunday morning. It’s always an incredible moment when a litter finally arrives, and we were delighted to welcome five beautiful chocolate puppies. One girl and four boys.

Sadly, after a long first day and night, we lost one of the little boys the following morning. Despite our very best efforts to support him, he simply wasn’t strong enough. Losing a puppy is always heartbreaking, but it is unfortunately one of the realities of breeding, even when everything possible is done to help them. It’s been a few very emotional days, hence the delay in uploading this update.

Raven is doing well and is being a fantastic mum. The remaining puppies are settled and being closely monitored as they begin their first few days of life.

We’re incredibly grateful for all the kind messages and support. We’ll continue to share updates as the puppies grow and develop over the coming weeks.

Raven 2026 – Update 1

Raven is now Day 62 post-ovulation and resting comfortably as we await the arrival of her final litter.

She is calm, relaxed and spending time close to us, moving between her favourite resting spot and her whelping area. Her whelping box is fully prepared, and everything is in place for the safe arrival of her puppies.

She is bright, settled and taking everything in her stride. As always, we are monitoring her temperature and behaviour closely and are ready for the first signs of labour. We expect things to begin in the next day or so.

We will update again once the puppies have safely arrived.

Please keep Raven in your thoughts as she prepares to welcome her final litter into the world 💜

Keiko 2025 – Update 10

Keiko’s puppies have now headed off to their new homes. It is always a bittersweet moment. We spend weeks watching them grow from tiny newborns into confident, playful little characters, so saying goodbye is never easy.

Each puppy has left us happy, healthy, and well prepared for the next stage of their journey. They’ve been vet checked, microchipped, socialised, and introduced to a wide range of everyday sights and sounds to help them settle smoothly into family life.

One little lady, however, isn’t going very far. Miss Pink has remained here with us and is now officially called River. We are very excited to watch her grow and develop as part of the Sunstrider family.

We are incredibly grateful to the families who have chosen to welcome a Sunstrider puppy into their homes. Thank you for placing your trust in us. We know these pups are going to be loved, cherished, and very well cared for.

Keiko has been a fantastic mum once again, and she is now enjoying a well-earned rest and plenty of one-to-one attention.

We look forward to following each puppy’s journey as they grow, and we love receiving updates, so please do keep them coming.

Keiko 2025 – Update 9

Keiko’s puppies are now seven and a half weeks old and growing fast. They had their vet checks earlier this week and we’re pleased to report that everything went really well. The vets were very happy with how the puppies are developing and gave them all a clean bill of health.

They’ve also now been microchipped, which is one of the final steps before they head off to their new homes next week. As always, they took it all in their stride and bounced back quickly with a good nap and plenty of play afterwards.

We’ve also taken their 7-week portraits. It’s lovely to see how much they’ve changed in just a few short weeks, they’re really starting to look like proper little dogs now.

They’re spending most of their time outside during the day, with access to different areas and a variety of toys and surfaces to keep them busy and engaged. Energy levels are high, play is constant, and nap times are well-earned.
